Ok so its not immediate bit it seems like BAE Systems are planning more jobs cuts after thier announcement to cut 500 jobs in telford and leeds earlier this year!
This time though they are proposing over 1000 job cuts at various locations in the UK. They are also potentially closing the whle plant at woodford! This is planned for 2012!
I suppose the plus side (if you can call it that) is that these cuts are not immediate! Employees will have time to come to grips with it and look for other jobs etc!
What I want to know is when will this end?
We keep hearing about signs of recovery buit where are they?

At first I thought BAE = defence and why do we need defence; with the exception of Afghanistan we are not really at war with anyone... but then I though.. trading.
Is it possible for us to still create aircrafts etc and sell them to other countries like America? As well as keeping UK jobs, and possibly even creating them, we could easily make money out of it. Or is it possible that other countries are in the same position and don't really need a hefty amount of defence?
I know what you mean though Nikki - they keep saying that we are starting to recover but I am still hearing of job losses. God knows how many years it will take us to come back properley!
